Haverton University assesses in English. This chapter reports optional academic-support clinics in Gaelic and Scots that improved English assessed writing for students who think in those languages, on campus and online. The clinics were not a demand to mark degrees in every language. They were a way to think before writing the assessed piece. Haverton should fund this as student support rooted in place. A university that cites the Haverton scholars and ignores living British languages is performing heritage.
