HESA Graduate Outcomes literacy and honest employability evidence—not a ranking hack.
Online or on campus

Employability marketing fails when a university quotes a percentage that the survey cannot bear. This MSc starts with Graduate Outcomes as a method: coverage, SOC coding, and what ‘highly skilled’ does and does not mean. You will design careers interventions that produce evidence, not only events. Scottish and rUK reporting cultures both appear because dual-pathway providers are asked both sets of questions. Faculty mark whether you can brief a governor without promising jobs the labour market has not got—especially in London’s graduate-dense economy. The award is not OfS or SFC employment and not a TEF panel seat. Capstones must include an honest limitations section on survey data. Haverton University will not sell a league-table hack. You will brief governors on London’s graduate-dense labour market, on SOC coding politics, and on why a dual-pathway provider must not quote a percentage the Graduate Outcomes survey cannot bear. Faculty mark whether your careers intervention produces evidence or only event photographs. That is the difference between this MSc and generic employability copy. Dual-pathway careers support is evidenced, not promised in a prospectus sentence. MSc UK Graduate Outcomes and Employability Evidence is taught as one award, not a list of unrelated modules. The published length is 18 months, and the credit total is 36. Students move from Graduate Outcomes Definitions and Coverage through Graduate Outcomes Definitions and Coverage; SOC, Highly Skilled, and Category Politics; British and rUK Reporting Comparators; Careers Support Parity: Campus and Online; Employer Engagement without Vanity Metrics; Equity, Disability, and Graduate Work, and finish on Ethics of Tracking Graduates. Each course has a question, a method, and a submission. In this field, students apply the method of the subject to a defined problem and defend the result. Reading is a core text, a case or dataset, and a critique. The artefact a marker expects is a submission that shows the method, the evidence, and the limit of the claim. The award is built so that a graduate can do the following in practice: Read Graduate Outcomes definitions without over-claiming Design employability activity with auditable evidence Brief governors on limitations and labour-market context Teaching assumes the student can read a source, attempt a problem before the seminar, and revise after feedback. Attendance at live seminars is part of the design. The capstone or final course must use the methods of the earlier courses; a project that ignores them does not pass. The pages for each course name the topics that are examined. Those topics are the syllabus. A brochure line is not a substitute for them.
Thirty-six credits: survey and outcomes literacy, careers-service operations, institutional evidence and governance, and a supervised capstone. Dual pathway. No HESA/OfS logos.
