Boardroom strategy for experienced directors and founders
Online or on campus

The Haverton University Executive MBA is designed for leaders who already run functions, business units or ventures and need a rigorous peer environment to expand enterprise leadership capacity. Cohorts are deliberately small and senior: you will debate capital allocation with PE-backed CEOs, redesign operating models with hospital and NGO directors, and stress-test strategy against geopolitical and technological disruption. Faculty combine research excellence with C-suite and board experience across finance, technology, healthcare and public service. The programme rewards applied judgment — case clinics, board simulations and a 6-credit enterprise transformation capstone anchored in your own organisation or a partner firm. Executive Master of Business Administration is taught as one award, not a list of unrelated modules. The published length is 24 months, and the credit total is 48. Students move from Executive Leadership & Decision Quality through Executive Leadership & Decision Quality; Managerial Economics for Global Markets; Financial Statement Analysis for Boards; Analytics & Judgment under Uncertainty; Corporate Finance & Capital Markets; Marketing Strategy & Customer Value, and finish on EMBA Capstone: Enterprise Transformation Project. Each course has a question, a method, and a submission. In this field, students diagnose one organisation and carry a decision through to a recommendation. Reading is a case, a short financial extract, and a stakeholder note. The artefact a marker expects is a consulting brief a manager could use. The award is built so that a graduate can do the following in practice: Lead enterprise transformation with clear strategic options and risk trade-offs Evaluate capital structure, M&A and investment cases at board standard Design organisation, incentive and culture systems that execute strategy Teaching assumes the student can read a source, attempt a problem before the seminar, and revise after feedback. Attendance at live seminars is part of the design. The capstone or final course must use the methods of the earlier courses; a project that ignores them does not pass. The pages for each course name the topics that are examined. Those topics are the syllabus. A brochure line is not a substitute for them.
The 48-credit EMBA mirrors the academic standards of leading global executive programmes: analytical foundations, enterprise value creation, strategy and governance, and integrative executive practice. Live residential intensives in London are optional twice yearly; online seminars run in executive-friendly evening slots worldwide. Graduates receive a Haverton University EMBA transcript with letter grades, credit hours and cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
